Visit of Bishop Denis Brennan
Bishop Denis Brennan paid his annual visit to 6th year students on Tuesday, 1 May 2018. In the course of his well-chosen few words to the assembled students and staff, he encouraged the “Class of 2018” to shape their own futures and to be true to themselves at all times. He was joined by Sr. Helen O’ Riordan (Chairperson, Board of Management) who wished the students every success in their forthcoming examinations.
A particular highlight of the event was an address and song performed by 6th year student, Cora Murphy, who was then presented with a special award by Mr. O’ Shea (Principal).
- 20 parents attended a talk on Internet Safety in the school on Monday, 30 April 2018. Also that day, all 150 1st year students attended a workshop on the same topic. Special thanks are due to Mr. McGinnity and Ms. O’ Reilly (Deputy Principals) for organising these events.
- Well done to our 6th year students who safely negotiated their LCVP written examination in the school on Wednesday, 2 May 2018.
- 5th year students were treated by their teacher, Ms. McDonnell, to a Japanese Day in the school this week, featuring an exposure to Japanese culture, cooking and a movie.
